Kebbi Governor Suspends Health Commissioner Over Negligence Allegations

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, has suspended the Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Yunusa Musa Ismail, with immediate effect.
The governor’s decision followed concerns over alleged negligence of duty and disregard for official responsibilities. He directed the suspended commissioner to present convincing reasons why disciplinary action should not be taken against him.
The suspension comes amid public outrage over the recent Kangiwa hospital incident, where a viral photo showed a patient lying on a bed without a mattress, sparking nationwide criticism.
Governor Idris emphasized his administration’s commitment to accountability, discipline, and effective service delivery, warning that public officers must justify the trust placed in them.
