The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced the resumption of its first semester examinations on Monday, April 13, 2026, after earlier postponements caused by security concerns in the state.The decision was reached at a management meeting held on Friday, April 3, 2026, where authorities assessed recent threats to students’ safety that led to an extension of the Easter break.In a statement issued by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations, Emmanuel Madugu, the university disclosed that examinations will recommence with papers earlier scheduled for March 30.Students were advised to liaise with their respective Faculty Examination Timetable Officers for further details and clarification.The management also reassured students currently on campus of their safety, noting that security measures have been significantly reinforced. Students were urged to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to the University Security Division.Normal academic activities, according to the statement, are expected to resume on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, as the university continues to work closely with relevant security agencies to maintain peace and order on campus.
