The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that the “No Result Yet” notification being received by some candidates is due to the withholding of results for underage applicants.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin explained that candidates who do not meet the minimum age requirement will not have their results released until further review.
He reiterated that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible to sit for the UTME.
Under the board’s exceptional candidate policy, underage candidates must score at least 320 in the examination and obtain a minimum of 80 percent in subsequent screening to qualify for consideration.
“Only candidates who meet the 320 benchmark will be shortlisted and invited for further assessments,” he said.
Benjamin urged parents and candidates to remain patient, noting that the process is aimed at maintaining the integrity of Nigeria’s admission system.
