The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates for the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II), marking the commencement of the next phase of the recruitment process.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Service advised all applicants to visit its official website to confirm their recruitment status and obtain details of the subsequent stages of the exercise.
The NCS disclosed that successful candidates would also receive notifications through their registered email addresses and SMS, containing further instructions on the documentation process.
According to the statement, candidates are required to log on to the recruitment portal using either their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
The Service stated that the portal for uploading the medical certificates would become active on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and that candidates must complete the process within one week.
It said, “Upon receipt of the notification, candidates are required to log on to update.customs.gov.ng using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.”
The statement further added, “The Service wishes to inform all successful candidates that the portal link for the upload of Medical Certificates of Fitness will be activated on Wednesday, 29 July 2026. Candidates are required to complete the upload process within one (1) week from the date of activation of the portal.”
The NCS also directed successful candidates to update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.
According to the Service, candidates who complete the required steps will subsequently receive their Trainee Identification Number within one week, after which further details on documentation and physical screening—including dates, venues and requirements—will be communicated through official channels.
The statement urged all successful applicants to adhere strictly to the stipulated guidelines and timelines to avoid losing their provisional appointments.
“All successful candidates are advised to strictly comply with the outlined instructions and complete each stage within the stipulated timelines. Failure to comply with any of the requirements or timelines may result in disqualification from the recruitment process and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment,” the Service warned.
