Dangote Refinery Retains Petrol Ex-Depot Price, Cites Market Stability

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited has reaffirmed that its ex-depot price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, remains unchanged.

In a statement, the company said the decision to maintain current pricing reflects its commitment to stabilising the domestic energy market and shielding the broader economy from external shocks.

The refinery noted that by absorbing rising operational and market costs, it continues to play a role in moderating inflationary pressures, promoting energy affordability, and ensuring steady product supply despite prevailing global uncertainties.

“By sustaining its current prices, the refinery is reaffirming its commitment to supporting stability in the domestic energy market and cushioning the wider economy against external shocks,” the statement read.

It added that the company remains focused on guaranteeing uninterrupted availability of high-quality petroleum products, in line with national goals of price stability and energy security.

The refinery also urged the public to depend only on its official communications for accurate and up-to-date information regarding its pricing and operations.
