A close ally of former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has emerged as the new chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State.
Abdullahi Maikano was elected alongside 33 other executive members following the party’s state congress.
Also elected were a former member of the House of Representatives representing Kiru/Bebeji, Ali Datti Yako, as deputy chairman, and Dr. Bala Muhammad as state secretary.
Other members of the new executive include Hon. Ali Shettima as Vice Chairman I, Hon. Bashir Kofa as Vice Chairman (South), and Hon.
Bello Yandadi as Vice Chairman (North). Former Special Adviser to Governor Abba Yusuf on Political Affairs, Sunusi Sirajo, emerged as Organising Secretary.
In addition, Hon. Sunusi Oscar was elected Youth Leader, Hon. Farida Kamba as Women Leader, and Hon. Hauwa Awaisu as Deputy Women Leader.
Barr. Muhammad Yahaya was named Legal Adviser, while Barr. Tahir Ibrahim Yakasi emerged as Deputy Legal Adviser, among other officials.
