Nigeria’s largest carrier, Air Peace, on Friday confirmed that its Abuja–Asaba flight aborted take-off during initial departure procedures.
In a statement issued by the airline’s management, Air Peace said the aircraft returned safely to the ramp after the incident, and all passengers disembarked without any harm.
The statement read: “Air Peace confirms that the Abuja–Asaba flight scheduled for today experienced an aborted take-off during initial departure procedures. In full accordance with safety protocols, the aircraft safely returned to the ramp, and all passengers disembarked without incident.”
The airline explained that a replacement aircraft was immediately deployed to ensure passengers reached their destination with minimal delay, while its engineering team commenced a thorough inspection of the affected aircraft as part of standard safety checks.
“Safety is, and will always remain, the cornerstone of our operations,” the airline emphasized. “The swift deployment of an alternate aircraft underscores our commitment to operational excellence and passenger confidence.”
