The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) says it achieved oil trading volumes of 1.71 million barrels per day over the past year, its highest in five years.
Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bayo Ojulari, disclosed this in a one-year performance report.
He also revealed that NNPC Exploration and Production Limited hit a peak production of 365,000 barrels per day in December 2025.
Ojulari said: “Over the past year, we have delivered steady progress… with measurable results across production, financial performance, infrastructure, and organisational culture.”
The report highlighted major developments, including new production sharing contracts and partnerships with global firms.
NNPC also confirmed restructuring plans for its refineries through an Incorporated Joint Venture model and consolidation of its stake in the Dangote Refinery.
Ojulari added that the company remains committed to building “a more prosperous and sustainable energy future.
