APC Fixes N100m for Presidential Form, Schedules Primaries from May 15

ABUJA — The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, pegging its presidential nomination form at N100 million and governorship form at N50 million.

The party said the timetable, signed by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and announced by National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, was issued in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to the schedule, presidential aspirants are to pay N30 million for Expression of Interest and N70 million for the Nomination form, bringing the total to N100 million.

Governorship aspirants will pay N10 million for Expression of Interest and N40 million for Nomination, totalling N50 million.

For other positions, Senate aspirants are to pay N20 million, comprising N3 million for Expression of Interest and N17 million for Nomination, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay N10 million. Those seeking State House of Assembly seats will pay N6 million, including N1 million for Expression of Interest and N5 million for Nomination.

The party also granted concessions to female aspirants, youths and persons living with disabilities, who are required to pay only the Expression of Interest fee and 50 per cent of the Nomination fee for each position.

On the timetable, APC said notification of state chapters commenced on Monday, April 20, 2026, while sale of forms at the party’s national secretariat will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026. Submission of completed forms is slated for May 4.

Screening of aspirants for State Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and governorship positions will hold from May 6 to May 8, while presidential screening is fixed for May 9. Results of the screening exercise will be published on May 11, with appeals scheduled for May 12 and May 13.
The party fixed its presidential primary for May 15 to May 16, followed by the House of Representatives on May 18, Senate on May 20, State Assembly on May 21, and governorship primary on May 23. Appeals for the exercises will follow immediately, with governorship appeals holding on May 25.
The APC reaffirmed its commitment to a credible and transparent primary process, assuring members and stakeholders of adherence to internal democratic principles ahead of the 2027 elections.
