Panic as Gunmen Ambush, Kill One in Riyom Community
Jos — Panic gripped residents of Tan Jol community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday morning after suspected gunmen ambushed and killed a man.
The victim was reportedly attacked and shot dead in the early hours of the day, sparking fear and tension across the community.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Movement (BYM), Rwang Tengwong, confirmed the incident in Jos, stating that the assailants carried out the attack at about 7 a.m in the Tan Jol area.
According to him, the victim was waylaid by the gunmen, leading to his death.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Plateau State Police Command, Alfred Alabo, for comments were unsuccessful as he could not be contacted at the time of filing this report.
