FCT Police Launch Probe into Suspected Suicide in Abuja
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has begun investigating the suspected suicide of a 30-year-old man, identified as Ik Ojo, who was found dead in his residence at Kagini, Dei-Dei area of Abuja.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the incident was reported on August 5, 2025, via a distress call. Police operatives from the Dei-Dei Division immediately responded, evacuated the victim, and took him to Kubwa General Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed his death.
The body has since been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for an autopsy.
Adeh added that the Commissioner of Police has ordered a discreet investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the death. Updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
