The Federal Government is exploring measures to reduce the impact of rising aviation fuel costs on domestic airlines.
Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, and Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele held discussions in Abuja on strategies to ease operational pressures on carriers.
According to a statement, both ministers agreed on policy alignment, fiscal support and innovative financing mechanisms.
“The discussions also underscored the strategic importance of aviation as a catalyst for economic development,” the statement said.
They reaffirmed commitment to building “a more resilient, sustainable, and globally competitive aviation industry in Nigeria.”
The ministers also agreed to maintain continuous engagement with stakeholders to ensure reforms translate into tangible benefits.
