By Adekunle Folarin, Abeokuta

The Ogun State Police Command has announced plans to establish a police post near the Ibogun campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University following a recent armed attack on student hostels.
Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, disclosed this during an assessment visit to the campus.

“We will strengthen patrols, deploy proactive policing strategies… to ensure that this campus remains safe,” he said.
The move follows an attack by suspected robbers who invaded hostels, firing shots and carting away valuables.
Ojajuni emphasised collaboration with other security agencies.

“As security is a collective responsibility, synergy among all agencies remains critical,” he added.
