The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced an extension of the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise in Anambra State until Sunday, November 2, 2025.
The extension, according to INEC’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi, followed numerous appeals from citizens and stakeholders requesting additional time for eligible voters to collect their cards ahead of the November 8 governorship election.
Originally scheduled to end on Sunday, October 26, the collection period will now continue from Wednesday, October 29, to Sunday, November 2. The extension covers voters who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
INEC urged all registered voters who have not yet collected their PVCs to take advantage of the extended window by visiting any of the 326 Registration Areas (Wards) across the state.
The Commission also reminded the public that PVC collection must be done in person, stressing that collection by proxy is not allowed.
INEC commended the patience and cooperation of the people of Anambra and encouraged all eligible voters to collect their cards in preparation for the forthcoming governorship election.
