President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF).
The brief ceremony took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, completing the transition following the retirement of Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
Tinubu had announced Enitan’s appointment on August 19, 2026, with his assumption of office scheduled for August 27.
Enitan and his predecessor had earlier met with the President at the State House on August 21 as part of preparations for a smooth transition in the leadership of the federal civil service.
His swearing-in formally places him at the head of the federal civil service, where he is expected to oversee and advance the administration’s ongoing public-service reforms.
